Anne Salmond - Director

Anne Salmond is principal of Wanaka architecture practice Salmond Architecture Ltd.

She is interested in design which is appropriate and sustainable in the unique environment of the Queenstown Lakes District at both the urban scale and the individual building scale.

Her practice has received a number of design awards for buildings in both Wellington and the Queenstown lakes District.

Anne studied landscape architecture at Cornell University in 1980 and worked as a Research Fellow at VUW developing methods for Post Occupancy Evaluation in 1981 and 1982

Anne worked as architectural graduate for Stephenson and Turner, Wellington 1982-1985, as a registered architect for Athfield Architects, Wellington 1985 -1988. She started Salmond Architecture in 1988 and was a director of Architecture + , Wellington from 1992- 2002.

Salmond Architecture moved to Wanaka in February 2000.

 

Jessica Winter - Sustainable building consultant

Jessica is a director of Seed Building Consultancy limited. www.seedbuilding.co.nz

Jessica originally studied architecture in the UK and worked for 3 years in architectural practices in the UK, Australia and New Zealand before completing a Master of Science in Environmental Architecture (with distinction) in 2005. Since moving permanently to New Zealand she worked for Wanaka architectural practice Salmond Architecture and for Sustainable Wanaka Charitable Trust before establishing Green Building Consultancy Ltd in 2007 with Architect Anne Salmond. Jessica has completed several sustainable building contracts from the Ministry for the Environment and is currently Eco Design Advisor for the Queenstown Lakes District. She is an accredited assessor for the Home Energy Rating Scheme and is a Green Star assessor for the New Zealand Green Building Council.

 

Doug Robinson

  • B.Arch Montana State University

Doug Robinson graduated in 2001 and subsequently worked for VBSA in Boseman, Montana for 3 years. He has been working with Salmond Architecture for 3 years.

 

Bridget White

  • B.Arch (Hons) Victoria University School of Architecture

Bridget White qualified in 2007 and joined Salmond architecture as graduate architect soon afterwards.

Jenny Bourke

  • B.Arch (Hons) Victoria University School of Architecture

Jenny qualified in 2006 and time as a graduate architect in both Wellington and London before moving to Wanaka to work for Salmond Architecture in 2010.
